Who I am as a teacher:

• I believe that everyone is a math person.  I strive to support my students to achieve a better understanding of math and how it relates to the real world. One way we will be doing this is through the design process.  I love to innovate and solve problems. I love to tinker with things and see how they work, and to think of how to improve things.  

• Also, I am passionate about social justice and will bring these ideas into my classroom.  Students will see how math and design have been affected by social justice issues and how these topics can be affected when we address these issues. 

• I’m fluent in Spanish, I love teamwork, and collaborating, and I  bring these passions to my classroom!
