On behalf of the staff at ISM, welcome to our learning community! We are an exciting group of students, teachers, and support team members with a diverse background of experiences, which we enjoy sharing with everyone who comes to our campus. Whether you are browsing through our school’s website for the first time or you are a longtime ISM community member, we hope that you find the information here beneficial in understanding our learning model and the program of inquiry we provide. The International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (kindergarten through fifth grade) and Middle Years Programme (sixth through eighth grade) make up our K-8 school of 418 outstanding students. Besides being an established public charter school, ISM is proud to be an authorized IB World School and we look forward to continuing to build on our internationally minded framework for many more years to come with the help of  all our community members.

ISM strives to be responsive to the needs of students while offering a rigorous academic program that is driven by a strong commitment to our mission. Through the IB Learner Profile, we endeavor to inspire, motivate, and focus our students’ learning and growth, both academically and socially, to be innovative problem solvers prepared for the challenges of tomorrow. We work collaboratively to develop students who are critical thinkers, strong collaborators, effective communicators, and lifelong learners ready to use a variety of approaches to learning to achieve success in all areas of their lives.

We recognize that in order to be successful, students need support from both home and school. We know that an active partnership with parents makes a recognizable difference in your child’s education. As partners, we share the responsibility for our students’ successes. Our strong parent community, experienced teaching professionals, and hard-working students create a learning environment that is, in my opinion, second to none! One of my goals is to get to know the students, teachers, and parents that create our community in a more personalized manner.  I encourage you to watch this presentation to learn more about me in return so that we can begin to foster those connections together!
