Position Summary
The Behavior Technician supports students in developing positive social, emotional, and behavioral skills in alignment with school-wide expectations and individualized behavior plans. Working under the supervision of licensed or credentialed staff, the Behavior Technician provides direct support to students, assists with data collection, and helps implement proactive and restorative behavior strategies across classroom and school settings.
Key Responsibilities

Provide direct behavioral support to individual students and small groups in classrooms and other school settings

Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and support strategies as directed by supervising staff

Collect, document, and report behavioral data accurately and consistently

Support students in developing self-regulation, coping, and social skills

Assist with de-escalation and crisis prevention using approved techniques

Collaborate with teachers, counselors, administrators, and families as appropriate

Support restorative practices and positive behavior interventions

Maintain student confidentiality and adhere to all school policies and procedures
Qualifications
Required:

Experience working with children or adolescents in educational, behavioral, or therapeutic settings

Ability to remain calm, professional, and supportive during challenging situations

Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, social work, or a related field

Experience with PBIS, restorative practices, or applied behavior analysis (ABA)

Meal Program Assistant (0.7 FTE)
Position Type: Part-Time (0.7 FTE)
Reports To: Meal Program Director

Position Summary
The Meal Program Assistant will be expected to support various aspects of the ISM meal program. This position plays a key role in preparing healthy, high-quality, National School Lunch Program-compliant meals for students and staff in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen environment.
Reporting to the Meal Program Director, this position will perform a full spectrum of food service and preparation duties — including those typical of a small school district, a mid-sized K-8 school, and a nonprofit organization— in accordance with school policies and legal requirements. The ideal candidate has an eye for detail, strong knife skills, experience with convection ovens, and solid food-prep experience
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily food prep, including washing, peeling, chopping, slicing, and dicing, using proper knife skills and safety techniques for daily meal service, including Breakfast, Lunch, and ASI Snack.
- Prepare ingredients according to recipes, menu production records, and production schedules in accordance with all health standards, with a focus on efficiency and safety.
- Safely operate kitchen equipment, including convection ovens, mixers, food processors, and slicers
- Assist with basic cooking tasks such as roasting, baking, reheating, and portioning food for student meals
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP procedures to cook and serve meals, and hold them at appropriate temperatures for both cooking and service.
- Help ensure there is a backstock of frozen and/or shelf-stable meals on hand in case of a campus-wide emergency.
- Label, date, store, and rotate food items properly
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of prep areas, storage areas, and equipment in accordance with local and state standards.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries and promptly communicate low food and kitchen supply levels to the Meal Program Director.
- Support meal service as needed (pan-up, restocking, simple assembly, and clean-up)
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and timely meal service
- As required by the State of California, help ensure all excess food is donated to local nonprofit organizations.
Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Academic background and/or practical experience in hospitality or food service.
- At least 1 year of experience in a combination of hospitality, food service, and food-oriented customer service.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an applicable field of study.

- Experience working within a diverse, international community
- Knowledge of California public school education, and charter school operations in particular.

Resource Specialist Program- Elementary Teacher (Full-time)

Reports To: Director of Special Education/ School Psychologist
Start Date: 2026–2027 School Year
Position Summary
The Resource Specialist Program (RSP) Teacher reports to the Principal or School Psychologist. The RSP Teacher teaches students who have special needs and works with them to ensure their educational success. This is a skilled position that requires a strong passion for working with children with special needs. The RSP Teacher completes case study evaluations and participates in Individualized Education Program (IEP) conferences and problem-solving meetings, and designs systems, programs, and services to maximize students’ social, emotional, and educational success. In collaboration with staff, families, students, and communities, the RSP Teacher promotes effective educational environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess students to determine present performance levels, learning styles, and areas of disability.
- Prepare and maintain appropriate student records, files, and reports.
- Assume primary responsibility for the development and implementation of each student’s IEP.
- Provide instruction and services to students enrolled in the Resource Specialist Program.
- Coordinate special education services and regular classroom activities for students enrolled in the Resource Specialist Program.
- Consult with parents, regular classroom teachers, and other specialists regarding students admitted to the RSP.
- Plan and coordinate the work of the RSP instructional aide.
- Prepare schedules and timelines to implement educational activities.
- Evaluate and review pupil academic and social progress.
- Maintain professional competence through participation in personal development activities.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Qualification for certification as required by the California Education Code for Special Education
- Knowledge of assessment methods, including systematic processes to collect data, translate assessment results into empirically-based decisions about service delivery, and evaluate service outcomes
- Knowledge of learning processes, appropriate instructional interventions to meet student needs, and implementing and assessing their effectiveness
- Background in assessment, development, and interpretation of Individualized Education Programs
- Knowledge of current trends, innovations, and exemplary practices in special education
- Willingness to adhere to ISM policies and regulations
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with colleagues and parents
Preferred:
- Master's degree
- Experience in both general education and special education services and instruction
- Experience supporting students with exceptional needs through targeted interventions
