Elementary Homeroom Teacher (Full-time)

Position Summary
The Elementary Homeroom Teacher fosters a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that supports the academic, social, and emotional growth of students in an elementary grade (K–5). The teacher designs and delivers developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with school expectations, collaborates with colleagues and families, and contributes to a positive school culture grounded in strong relationships and high expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality instruction across core subject areas using effective, developmentally appropriate teaching practices
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including students who need enrichment and students who require additional support
Establish a positive, structured classroom culture using proactive strategies and restorative practices
Assess student learning using a variety of methods; use data to monitor progress and adjust instruction
Build strong relationships with students and families through clear, timely, and professional communication
Collaborate with grade-level teams, specialists, and support staff to promote student success
Support school-wide initiatives, supervision duties, and community events as assigned
Maintain accurate records, complete required documentation, and uphold confidentiality
Participate in professional learning, coaching, and reflection to continuously improve practice
Qualifications
Required:
Valid California teaching credential (Multiple Subject) or eligibility to obtain appropriate credential
Ability to pass required background clearances
Commitment to culturally responsive practices, equity, and inclusive education
Strong classroom management skills grounded in relationships, clear expectations, and consistency
Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Preferred:
Experience teaching in grades K–5
Experience supporting multilingual learners and/or inclusive classrooms (SPED collaboration)
Familiarity with inquiry-based and/or project-based learning
Experience using restorative practices and positive behavior supports
Work Schedule
Full-time position aligned with the school calendar
Monday–Friday; daily hours vary by assignment and duties
Compensation
Salary dependent on experience and based on the teacher salary schedule
